STORY

Our Story

It started with our parents. People who believed in the fantasy of America: a place of excess, opportunity, and freedom. Their American dream was anchored in the choices their children could make. Choices that might have led them down paths in medicine, law, or engineering. For us, the kids of Orange Peel, that choice was to follow our palates.

Through our food, we hope to tell the only American story that we can—our own. How we've still found unique comfort in the Asian flavors with which our families entrusted us. How our aspirations became champagne and caviar.

Asian Americana is an integration of our heritage with time-honored American traditions. It's a layering of East and South Asian flavors on nostalgic American classics, or a layering of America on the classics from back home. We combine the cherished experiences from our families' dining table with our trips to Olive Garden, steakhouses, and backyard barbecues.

Everything Orange Peel makes is born out of the dreams of a couple of Asian kids who love where they came from, but haven't let go of their parents' first romantic vision of America. That's Asian Americana.
